Start Your Own Business – Evenings

The purpose of this award is to enable the learner to acquire the knowledge, skill and competence to work independently and under supervision in a range of eBusiness contexts and or to progress to further and or higher education and training.

Work placement / work experience may be a core feature/element of programmes in this field facilitating the enhancement of employability and transversal skills. Entrepreneurial and business planning skills and modules may be available, to enable learners to explore self-employment as a career option.

Learning Outcomes
On completion of this programme learners will have the skills, knowledge and competencies to
work independently and under supervision in a range of eBusiness contexts and or to progress to further and or higher education and training.

Employability Statement
On completion of this Programme, learners may pursue a variety of related business and administrative sector roles – roles may include working in administrative, logistical, law, and accounting or informatics position in a wide range of organization types.

 

This course will take place every Monday and Wednesday evenings from 06.30 pm – 09.30 pm for 12 weeks. Please note that candidates must have good business English. A basic knowledge of computers would be an advantage.

Candidates who are in employment wishing to take a place on this course may qualify for the Skills to Advance Initiative where a fee waiver applies once certain criteria is met.
