“I completed my Leaving Certificate in 2008 and I didn’t have amazing points. I had no interest in going to college at the time as I wanted to work. At the age of 17 years I started the Legal Administrator course at CDETB Finglas Training Centre. As part of the course I did a work placement with Brophy Solicitors a small law firm in Dublin city. I worked there for the period of my placement and was delighted to be offered a job on a permanent basis. After a year working in Brophys I decided to further my education and over a period of years I completed my Certificate, Diploma and Law Degree in Griffith College at night. On completion of my Law Degree I was offered a job in Mason Hayes & Curran one of the biggest law firms in the country. I am proud to say I have assisted on some really big projects here over the years. I have recently joined the firm’s Innovation Committee. Above all else I am in a job I love. I honestly feel I would not be where I am today if it wasn’t for the Legal Administrator Course at CDETB Finglas Training Centre”.

“I always had a keen interest in art and design, but I wasn’t sure how to apply that interest into a career path. I had actually studied previously but I found myself unemployed in that area, but then I thankfully heard about this course in Graphic Design.
The course was very wide-ranging and surpassed any of my expectations. I was surprised by how much I learned by the end of the course but because of the hands on approach to the course I was given a skill set that I could take directly into a real life-working environment. The standard of teaching is first-rate, as are the facilities. The exercises and briefs were enjoyable and challenging but also reflected assignments that could be asked of anyone in the industry. I couldn’t endorse it more it gave me the skill set I needed to work within an industry I previously had no idea how to gain access to.”
“When I attended the Interior Design course in the CDETB it was the best course I’ve ever done. It was organised and laid out in an easy flow making it comfortable completing each module that had to be done. The tutor was very understanding and very clear in explaining the briefs that needed to be done and the course was exciting and challenging. It was a pleasure doing the course and it was fun and I would recommend anyone interested in interior design to apply to the CDETB to do it. I was actually sad when it was finished and I wished they did level 6 there too.”
“I completed the Interior Design course about two years ago and I have to say if you like home decor, history of design and graphic design, this is a course for you. As been a fully qualified painter and decorator and been unemployed for a few years, it gave me the confidence and skills to go out on my own and set up my own decorating business. Having learned how to put colour schemes together and working with mood and design boards and updating my computer skills, it gave me the confidence in designing a colour scheme for costumers when estimating jobs. Since doing this course and going on to be a self employed decorator , I have been busy and work is ongoing .”
“Hi, I’m David. Having studied Web & Software Development in Finglas Training Centre Poppintree, I am now working as a Java Developer in Dublin. Finglas Training Centre provided fantastic facilities, qualified Tutors and World Class exam certifications from companies such as Zend, Oracle, Microsoft, Adobe and City & Guilds. I could not recommend Finglas Training Centre enough, and their training got me noticed by many of the largest IT companies in Ireland. “
“My time at Finglas training centre has been fantastic. Having no previous experience of software development the hands on approach of coding everyday along with the support I received really gave me the confidence to be successful in the industry. Upon completion of the course I secured a full time job in software development and would really recommend the training centre to anyone looking to further their career.”
“It was a privilege to have been accepted to study Graphic Design for Print Media in Finglas Training Centre, where the focus is to retrain people from all walks of life regardless of age, giving them the skills to enter employment. This is achieved with intensive practical training, academic research, field trips and teamwork. Excellent tutors, who have a background in industry and are thereby equipped with the skills and the knowledge to meet future employers’ requirements, deliver the course. They patiently tutored us in a friendly relaxed environment, honing our skills and opening and broadening our minds. It was a hugely successful and fun year for me and I loved every second of it. I highly recommend undertaking any course in the Finglas Training Centre.”
