CANDLE – COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT – LEVEL 5
The full-time training programme at Candle is an educational programme for 16-21 year-olds, primarily aimed at early school leavers, but also those who have completed second-level education.
This course has been designed to introduce students to the theory and practice of Community Development and will enable participants to develop leadership skills and an understanding of working in a multicultural society, ensuring equality and diversity in the community sector.
The small class size will give participants the opportunity to gain a PLC qualification in a fully supported, structured learning environment. This programme is suited to individuals that have completed the Leaving Certificate, Leaving Certificate Applied or have a QQI Major Award at Level 4.
Previous participants on the course have progressed on to further education and to Third Level.
