RETAIL SKILLS LEVEL 4 – CHERRY ORCHARD
This is a full-time, one-year training course for individuals aged 16 to 21, particularly targeting early school leavers.
The aim of this course is to enable the learner to acquire the relevant knowledge, skill and competence to work effectively under supervision in the retail sector and to progress to further education and training.
Learning Outcomes
- On successful completion of this course, learners will be able to:
- Demonstrate a range of knowledge related to customer service and retail practice.
- Demonstrate knowledge of basic concepts and legal obligations relating to retail practices including merchandising, stock control and sales.
- Demonstrate a range of techniques and procedures utilised in the retail sector to include communication skills and use of appropriate technology.
- Selectivity Select appropriate responses and standard procedures in relation to customer needs while operating within a retail environment.
- Apply retail skills, techniques and practices while operating within a supervised retail environment.
- Participate effectively and safely in a retail environment while engaged in teamwork and cooperation with others.
- Demonstrate an ability to take responsibility for learning and personal development.
- Reflect on personal values and display an insight into the broader contribution of individuals to the retail sector.
