DIGITAL SKILLS FOR THE MODERN OFFICE

Programme Aims
The aim of this programme is provide candidates with the skills, knowledge and competencies to use a wide range of software applications on a computer and achieve a worldwide recognised qualification in computing. The ICDL programme offers a greater range of modules and provides a practical programme of up-to-date skills and knowledge areas which are validated by a test. Once candidates register, they have a skills card for life and they can add additional modules to their skills card over time.

• Applicants must have reached the current statutory school leaving age
• No formal educational qualifications are required
• Learners must have proven computer knowledge at an introductory level
• Learners must be motivated to learn on their own

Employability Statement
On successful completion of this programme, applicants possess accreditation which validates their ability to use a wide range of software applications in a computer environment. This will help them source employment in a range of clerical and administrative positions in IT and other sectors.

ICDL Professional is designed to meet the needs of modern professionals in a range of sectors and develops an advanced level of skills for those with technology reliant roles. Digital Citizen is specially developed to cater for those with no experience whatsoever of computers and the Internet. ICDL Digital Citizen helps to remove the fear of using a computer for complete novices by using a simple, non-threatening approach to educating individuals in the basic skills of using a computer, email and the Internet.
